Light in the Darkness

One of my favorite moments each day are sunsets and sunrises. Honestly, before kids I didn’t see many sunrises, but I love the hope they bring as it illuminate the sky and reminds me of God’s promises of restoration and newness each morning. The LIGHT breaking through the darkness just like the sin in our life when brought into the Light can bring healing and wholeness. When I was on a walk with my daughter and asked her “What is God teaching you these days?” She quickly responded, “Well that God is the light even in darkness in the world mom.” What a good truth to believe.
This continued as my girls love to play make believe often. They are all about their Disney Princesses and yesterday they were being the fairy Godmother in Cinderella. They were “casting spells” and my heart smiled when I heard the words they were saying. “Light in the darkness!” They sang the song lyrics of Way Maker as their “spells.” My heart melted as they spoke truths of scripture that were written on there hearts. It made me stop and thank God for the truths He was writing on my heart as well. The breakthrough of my sin and how when I bring it into the Light that healing can happen.
Will you bring your sin into the light? Cast it out of the darkness and illuminate it!
