Trusting God to Bring Balance to Your Crazy Days.
Balance is comfortable, steady, sure of my steps and confident in the next. Balance is when priorities come easy, no pull in two different directions. For me it includes time with the Lord, my husband, my kids and time for myself. Time for work and time for play. It is body, mind and spirit. However, balance is not always in my control. So, what do we do when life throws us off balance? Recently I was told I had to go back to work full time. I no longer have two feet planted on the ground. I now feel as if I’m standing on one leg. Yet, I still have a stack of dishes on each hand and my head. I know I’m not the only one in this balancing act. Husband’s travel, loved ones become sick, work becomes heavier, a child’s needs out weighs the rest. Or, maybe you’re planning a wedding or having a baby! Point is, balance is often out of our control. So, then what? To improve our physical balance we build up our core. It takes time, exercise and determination for it to become effortless. I believe the core in our spiritual/emotional life is trust. Over the last few weeks I’ve been put to the test and out of it came some ways I know to be true to build up my core when life gets out of balance. It comes from the word TRUST.
be THANKFUL: Philippians 4:6  Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
REST: Isaiah 30:15 This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: “Only in returning to me and resting in me will you be saved. In (rest) quietness and confidence is your strength.
USE YOUR WORDS/ask for help: Galatians 6:2 Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
SIMPLIFY: Isaiah 26:3 You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on (only) you!
TAKE IT A DAY AT A TIME: Matthew 6:34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
As you TRUST your faithful God, He will do the balancing for you. Let Him! It’s SO much easier this way😉
