Depression and anxiety are taboo words. Many believers have strong opinions and thoughts around these mental health conditions and many words have been shared wounding those who are struggling. In trying to help many have harmed and damaged others.

Today I read in my devotional that God quiets the noises around us so we can hear His still soft voice on our hearts. Yet also His power to do immeasurable more than we can ask or image.  I know that there are a lot of voices sharing opinions and thoughts, but I want to challenge all of us to remember the most important one. To not minimize His words or the power of prayer that He gives us. May we be overwhelmed with his peace and find moments to rest in His care. Take time to BREATHE today. To exhale the lies, worries, and fears, and to breathe in His grace, truths, and to remember even when you are overwhelmed, He is in control.

Continue to pray for your breakthrough that you’ve waited for so long. And may you constantly be in prayer for an answer that takes your breath away.

Remember you serve a God who is GREATER. He is with you and is powerful. In Ephesians 3:20-21 it says “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever!” Amen.
